How do you react when the startup (you’ve been working on for several months because no one out there does what you need) shows up? You partner with them (For us this was Spreedly).
This appears to have happened a second time with Metricly getting a nice writeup about their presentation at TechCrunch 50. There are some similarities between BigBrassBand and Metricly and some solid differences as well. I’ll admit the first reaction is a sinking heart. Ugh. They beat us to it.
But then reality sets in and you remember you’ve built a solid product and know that your market responds well to the work you’ve put into your baby.
So, how do we react at BigBrassBand to Metricly getting on TC and getting loads of publicity? Rollin’ up the sleeves. =)

WHAT DO WE DO?
Your business is spitting out lots of data that you either ignore or spend too much time looking through.
BigBrassBand relates and presents your data in an action oriented format so that you:
1) do the things you need to be doing to be successful,
2) reduce the amount of time it takes to do those things and
3) have more time to spend building your product, going to conferences, or playing with your kids.

Actually, they seem to do more of marketing metrics and web analytics than subscription management and billing. I would say your competitors (if you don’t know already) are Spreedly and CheddarGetter.
